Magic realism allows the story to access the real via the unreal. In this workshop, we’ll examine how to bring elements of the fantastic into realistic fiction, allowing characters to experience the strange in a familiar setting. To find the story behind the idea, we’ll explore the balance between the magic, the metaphor, and the narrative through generative exercises. Come prepared to trust the magic.
